So much to do so little time!

I have been SO busy lately that I have really been lazy with the blog. I apologize to all those wellington way followers but time is not on my side right now! Hopefully I will do better soon! Davis is still as cute as ever and is still so much fun to be around and take pictures of, don't worry, just cause there is no blog I am still snapping away! These pictures are from this week. The first pics are one of Davis' favorite things to do, get in something. He is all about getting in a container and asking you to put stuff in with him! What a mess! (one of this favorite things to say!)

The bear hat was made at story time and he just loved helping the librarian with the story of the five little bears. He loves taking turns putting his bear on the felt board and watching the other kids participate. He is eating a grilled cheese and some yummy veggie soup! We're crossing our fingers, he has eaten much better the past few weeks!

What Would Davis Say

I am starting a new type of blogs: WWDS! I will post these as funny things come up in my days with DWDW. I hope these will keep you updated with him and his funny self and they will help me remember some of the precious memories we are making.
So we introduced the potty to Davis and he took to it beautifully. For the last month or so he has been going religiously to the potty and loving it. Here recently he began to not like it so much. We missed one night and he immediately hated it the next night. I thought I had a wonderful idea to get him back on track: UNDERWEAR! HAHA! So...we left for Target. He had his own personal "TArget gift card" so with that in one hand we set off. We found the underwear section and I began showing him the different options. He loved all of them but was set on getting the CARS underwear. He picks the underwear in one hand and the target gc in the other and we take two steps and he says "mama no". I asked him what and he said "mama no" again. I stop get on his level and say what buddy and he shakes his head and walks back to the underwear where he attempts to put the underwear right back where we found them and comes running back towards me. Not trying to put words in his mouth, but pretty sure that was my sign that he is not ready to get rid of his diapers! Oh well, we'll try again one day!

We are slowly trying to come down off our Christmas/Holiday high and man it is crazy what a bunch of new toys does to a little boy. Whew! Mommy and Daddy are worn out. Davis has been so excited since the holidays he goes from one thing to another and he HAS to HAVE ATTENTION!!! He is such a person lover and Mommy is his BEST friend EVER!! I am not complaining, but wow I thought I needed people. I have really tried hard to new and fun activities with D as he has gotten older and he loves them. He will go to the closet (where I keep the art kits) and say "activity" to tell me he is ready to be creative. Monday we worked on all sorts of things with the letter S. We stamped, made stars and spaghetti with playdough and made the s sound over and over. He loved it and wanted to keep doing more and more activities. Luckily, it was lunch time and we made a sandwich (the letter s) and then came nap time!

Tonight Davis had some major fun with daddy and I had to capture it on film. This is for you Pawpaw. Hope you feel better real soon and hope this makes you smile. When therapy gets tough think of this little one and you will be better in no time. Mimi and Lala this goes for you too. I know taking care of a injured person is No fun! HAHA! Love to all of you!

Our Small group

Every Sunday night we meet with four other couples and their kiddos and eat and study the Bible. We love and cherish our time with these folks. We have learned, cried, been joyful, saddened, and experienced lost togather. This is what fellowship is all about. I love each one of them and all the many children and future children in our group. This week I put some of the kids out and did a little lesson with them. They are such well behaved and sweet kids and we had so much fun learning about Jonah and making our own fish!

HAPPY 2011!

We rang in the new year with some of our bestest friends and we were all home by 9pm! Such Party animals!! We started out with an evening at Chili's then ended up at the Butler's house for some fun and fellowship. Erin bought cute little light up bracelets and squeaky horns for kiddos and they had a blast. The moms spent much of there time refereeing the many children and the daddy's had much to talk about in the living room. We had a great time with all of them and can't wait to see what 2011 means for our family! Walker and I have already discussed many changes we want to implement in 2011 and we are both praying for a FANTASTIC year. As long as he is by my side and God is our center I am confident that nothing can stop us from having a beautiful year. (I have to disclose this info: all pics were stolen from Erin's adorable blog! She is my partner in crime when it comes to taking pics!!)
