Pumpkin Farm and SO much MORE!

WE ventured out this Saturday to a neat little working farm that had so many fun things for Davis to do. Corn mazes, cotton bins, scavenger hunts, duck races, barrell slides, tractor pulls, petting zoo, etc! It gave Huber’s  a run for their money!! (It was very kid oriented and much cheaper!!) Davis had a great time and we enjoyed ourselves as well!

This was the scavenger hunt and trip to the farmers market. He did everything from milk a cow, to ride a tractor to choose his favorite way to eat beef. (he chose spaghetti!) It was so cute and D really got into it. At every station he collected items which he sold at the farmers market! (apples, potatoes, cotton, milk, etc)

 

 

Cotton! They had a huge bin of cotton to play in, and that we did! We bounced, jumped threw and covered ourselves in the fluffy white stuff!

 

the petting zoo. Davis especially loved feeding the donkeys with his daddy! They sure were hungry and Daivs had all the time in the world for them!

 

 

The tire playground! No more words required!

 

This was the duck races. You pumped water using the pump and moved your duck to the other side. We stayed here forever. D really got into making his duck swim to the other side!

The corn maze! We were sent through this corn maze to learn lots of things about farming. There were signs all around and we hole punched a card to finish the game!

The corn box. What a great idea. The kids loved it and had a blast. Let’s just say I came home with corn in my clothes!

 

Davis rode this pretend bull for a second and we climbed to the top of this pile of hay…we, I was so proud!

 

The barrel slide! Davis and his daddy enjoyed this one! He would shoot down it and be ready for another run at it! What a great daddy!

You have no idea what it took to get this picture. All day he gave us these crazy looks and fake smiles! Oh well! WE sure did have fun and make some memories!

His other favorite…a tractor ride through the farm!

Davis’ favorite part of the ENTIRE day…A barrell ride behind a four wheeler! Umm. he was in love. He rode all the way around the farm by himself with the other kids and never missed a beat. He called it a choo choo train!

 

We had to decorate our pumpkin when we got home and Davis chose a patches theme from pinterest! He thought it was great because we all got a color and we all took turns painting our patches! You think he’s a little proud of it?

 

 

Even though our VOLS didn’t win, Davis and daddy sure did do their job in supporting them! Go VOLS!

Oh my blog!

Who knew this baby was going treat her/his momma so? Guess it’s about time I realize this baby is going to be nothing like their big brother and maybe pregnancy is the best place to start realizing it. anyway, I promise to not leaving blogging, but it is one of the things that gets left behind when I don’t feel well, I mean how could I say no to a little blonde headed stud when he asks me to play trucks and if they are making me and the baby feel better? Whew, I pray this baby has the sweet tender heart of his brother! He melts my heart!

Anyway, lets get you and myself caught up on all the blogging we’ve been missing! BTW, little D just so happens to still be sleeping…gives me some extra time!!! Ok, so last Friday walker was in a golf tournament and needed to clean his clubs before the big day. Guess who his big helper was? You guessed it! DAVIS!

 

He decided daddy’s way was not near as fun as his!

Covered in suds and no worries!

His most favorite job was getting rid of the remainder of the soapy water! Boys just wanna have fun!

Then it was time for some golf lessons by our pro! Davis now knows how to put a tee in the ground with a ball and hit it really hard!

 

While Daddy enjoyed his golf day, Davis and I headed to Fun zone with some of his buddies! He loves this bouncy place and mommy sure does have fun watching him wear himself out!

I am growing! This is a picture collage I am working on! So far two shots of the nine total! That belly is going to be a big one! Don’t mind growing as long as my baby is healthy and happy!

Mimi went shopping and found Davis this dress up outfit so he can be one of the guys at daddy’s work! Uncle Dickey will be so proud! He totally wants a real bulldozer now!

Just a video of my sweet boy loving on his Jesus! He brought me these Bibles (they were Uncle and Aunt Nell's) and started singing the Bible and Jesus loves me! He is smitten with his Bible verse “Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.” and recites it constantly throughout our day. I believe it is God’s way of keeping me in check!

Pretty much think this catches us up. Hopefully this sickness will continue to get better, or I will just get use to it and I will be back in the saddle again!

The story of Emmy-o

                                  

First, I must say I am awful these days about checking email, posting on the blog and even face booking. The moments where I feel good are so precious and I want to spend them with my boys so other things such as housework, etc have been put aside! I can tell you this pregnancy has been nothing like my first and it is hitting me pretty tough. So blessed to have such wonderful friends and family who have stepped up the last several weeks. I have an overwhelming feeling that I am letting people down and I hate it, but I just don’t feel well and I must take care of myself and to be able to take care of this baby! So let me apologize if I have forgotten anything or not done something I might usually do…I am truly sorry! I also must say I am married to truly the best man ever. He has completely stepped up and taken over pretty much everything. My sick time is usually about lunch time on unto the night and he has taken on so many new roles. My love for him seems to grow more and more every hour when he is at home with us. I must also brag on D. He is two and a half and really understanding so much. Waiting till he was a little older has its perks. He is so much like his daddy, it is amazing! Every time I come out of the bathroom he asks if I feel better and constantly brings me his favorite trucks and blankie. He will ask does that truck make you feel better? One word. LOVE! He is so in love with this unborn baby it is unreal. He is constantly kissing my belly and telling me he misses his baby!

Davis actually told us we were pregnant several days before we found out and luck has it he was right! He told us one afternoon while laying on the couch there was a baby in my belly and it was a girl, he went on to say her name was EMMy-o! WE ask him a lot about if it is a boy and he just says no its not! and we also say what if we don’t call her emmyo and he says yes emmyo is her name! Oh no! Either emmyo is gotta grow on us or we gotta find a better name to replace it if it is a girl!

 

 

Now on to the obgyn appointment. It was very long, but through! We loved the clinic and were extremely impressed with the place and staff. We had our first ultra sound and it was absolutely amazing to see that precious baby. Isn’t funny how some things just don’t get old? Anyway the heart beat was 168 and everyone seems to think it is a girl. WE are perfectly okay with boy or girl and just pray the baby is healthy! I have come to a point in my life where I feel so fortunate and blessed to be able to have another baby that I wouldn’t dare try and ask for a certain sex. Would love to see another boy run around and play trucks with Davis and would absolutely be melted by seeing D tend to his little sister! So to answer everyone's question we are REALLY content with what God sees fit for our lives. May we never become so proud that we think we deserve or need a certain sex…God will give us what we need!

 

Praying for a healthy baby and mommy and very excited about meeting our sweet baby in late April or early may! Due date is May 7, but they will take the baby about a week early since I had a c-section with Davis!

Thank you God for giving me such an understanding and caring hubby during this time in my pregnancy. He has more than met my needs and I am so incredibly proud of the man that he is. He always wanted to be like “uncle”  and I am confident he is meeting his goal in taking care of me and Davis. I am so blessed to have an amazing little boy that loves me and is so kind and tenderhearted to others. I pray this baby is healthy and has a sweet spirit for you. Give Walker and I the wisdom to teach and prepare this baby along with Davis about you and your word. Help us teach both of them it is  important to love and give so that others might come to know you! Thanks for taking care of me and my family as only you know how…the best way!

ProJeCtS

We’ve done several craft projects lately and here are some of our favorite and how we are displaying them.

Davis made a play dough tree. This was his fall decoration. Mommy started getting out all the pumpkins and such and D needed a décor item to call his own. He is currently using it on his play table! I think it turned out really cute.

 

I turned a part of our sunroom into a art room for D and he LOVES it! We are displaying all of his work on this wall with twine and tiny clothes clips.

Frugal girls and one of my sweet friends mom-in-laws gave us this idea. You are suppose to use a canvas, but we just used some of my scrapbook paper since we wanted to hang in on our special art wall!
