christmas eve

Christmas Eve we spent much time with our family. We were fortunate enough to have every one in Louisville for the holiday and we took full advantage of it. Davis got way too much stuff and we all ate way too much! WE spent Christmas Eve at Mia and Pops house and came home just in time to leave out cookies for Santa! Davis was so excited to participate in all the activites, but really did not want Santa in our house!

Look daddy and uncle dave, a guitar! I am so big now!

Thanks Pops! I love my new guitar!

I did it! I put out food for Santa's reindeer!

It's a Family thing, you just wouldn't understand!

The Wellington's arrived several days before Christmas so we could celebrate a little early. We had such a great time being silly and just being togather. Oh we made memories and I will try to show you how much fun we had. We decided to let D have several toys before Christmas, so we wouldn't overtstimulate him. (didn't work!) He was able to enjoy several new toys before he was bombarded with Christmas!

what a look Davis!

no they didn't...

ummm... yes they did! hah! so our weekly trip to mcalister's was a bit more interesting this week. neither of the boys wanted to eat so they...ripped pieces of box! yep, something we make fun of other parents for and say "i would never let my kids______" well they did it! they made the biggest mess, but we got to eat and have a good convo and that is what mattered at this moment on this night. oh the memories. the waitress was adorable. she kept saying it is no problem, i am bored so this will keep me busy and they are only young once! love having atleast one restaurant that is kid friendly!

i will let you decide, did they have fun, make a mess or both??

Paint!!!!!!

Today's craft was painting a bus that Davis picked out. I know you are thinking wow what a Christmas craft, but it totally goes with the phase that he is in right now so we just went with it. He cracked me up, he totally picked up the paint brush and went straight to work. We have never painted before or even used a paint brush, so I was VERY impressed! His artwork turned out so beautiful, check it out!

doing good so far!

look at me!!

am I having fun or what?

look at my hands!!!

look at my mess!

i love those hands

he loved saying his colors while painting!

This is our craft from Mark's Feed Store and it is by far one of the ones Davis' has enjoyed the most. He has always been so good with his hands and he held the pipe cleaner in one hand and pushed the beads on with the other. (I told him red or white) It turned out pretty cute, except we ran out of beads!! Oh well!
