I got a lot of catching up to do….Let’s go fly a KITE!

On a whim I picked up a cheap lightening McQueen kite at the store and today with all the wind swirling around we figured it was the PERFECT day! We didn’t have much luck, but it sure was FUN! Davis loved that it had his favorite car on it and daddy enjoyed the thrill of trying to get it flying in the sky!

Walker definitely got an A+ for effort! Such a sweet and hands on daddy, I couldn’t ask for a better man!

 

Next, we headed to the trampoline…only Davis’ favorite thing to do outside! He is a jumping fool!

 

Then it was tattoo time! D had so much fun he got two and gave me and Walker one! Sorry no pics of ours!

Labor Day Weekend

our weekend plans of camping got canceled when all the campsites were taken before we even left! oh well we had a nice relaxing long weekend anyway. we spent friday night at mimi and pawpaw’s so we daddy could go hunting bright and early saturday morning, had a birthday lunch for walker, went to church, visited with my sis and her hubby and did errands and had some major family time on monday. it was much needed and very fun! got some pics of d enjoying the farm, watermelon and his tractor! next weekend my parents head to milan…can’t wait!

surprise

last night instead of "look who's coming to dinner" we pulled a "look who's turning thirty!" walker was very surprise and we all enjoyed an evening of birthday wishes for him. we ate some yummy ribs (thanks Charlie!) and enjoyed a cake that took a turn in the jeep! oops! when we got home Walker got to go through the scavenger hunt to find his presents...a new xbox 360, knect and madden 2012! he was super pumped and amazed at how i had pulled everything off! it was the hardest thing ever, but the secrets are over and it's fun time now! happy birthday sweetie and i hope you enjoy ever bit of your 30th year!

walmart

today as i was cleaning out d's nose (of of my fav things to do!) i asked him where he got all the buggers in his nose. he replied "walmart!" i laughed and said really were they expensive? and he said only one dollar! i said wow buddy you shouldn't have paid that much for them. he no momma no monies, free buggers!

one LuCkY MOMMY!

I am so blessed because I wake up to the sounds of this little man every morning!

He stole my heart 29 months ago when he blessed us with his arrival!

Life would be so boring with out him and I thank my God for him, multiple times a day.

His smiles melts all my troubles and fears a way.  

I must say someone was looking after me to give me such an energetic, fun little boy! 

He is such a loving little one who not only shows it to his mommy and daddy but to all his friends and family! 

He will steal some girls heart one day and his momma will be sad, but so proud!  How did I become the luckiest mommy in the world?

 

Davis has put on a show all day today. At the gym he was hitting on the nursery worker with his new truck and trailer. We left and went to the library and he could not take his eyes off ms. ashley. He thinks she is the prettiest prego girl ever! Then we go to the shoe store wear he tells a lady which shoes to buy and which ones to leave at the store. She asked if he was married and he just said no way! She also told him she lived at the beach and after thinking very quickly he said he would only go with her if mommy could come too! Smart boy! He also helped me pick out some very cute and cheap shoes! He would say not those mommy, try these! We went from there to the bank and he had me roll his window down so he could thank the teller for the sucker and flash his killer smile for giving him the blue one! What a ham I have on my hands. (must say a quick thanks to my girls Erin B and Ashley for the pics!)

you asked for it...couponing

so, several of my friends have been asking me lately how i save money at the grocery, target, etc. i am by no means an expert, a crazy extreme shopper or couponer i just do what i can to say a little money and make being a SAHM be a little bit more easy on my hard working hubby! my tips are:
buy a newspaper every Sunday. nope i don't buy tons of them just one. remember i am gonna try and save money not go crazy. i also do not want to spend tons of time saving, then it would not be saving to me, because i would be giving up my family time...PRICELESS! i cut out all the coupons i think i might use and put them in envelopes divided by things i buy most often. i also have a misc one for things that don't fit into the other categories. my categories are (i keep them alphabetized too for quick and easy look up!) baby, beverages, bread, cereal, cleaning, dairy, frozen, hygiene, teeth-hygiene, razors, femine(makeup, tampons, etc), tasrget, Walgreen's, Kroger, meat, misc, paper products, razors, my list goes on and on! once i have them organized i usually go through them every couple of weeks to get out the ones that are expired or getting ready to expire so i will use them.
*next i friended saving sites on fb like frugalgirls. they send me an email every week of the things that are on sale at various stores, tell me whats free or heavily discounted and what coupons to use. pretty easy and wonderful!
*i almost always let the sales decided what i will buy. if something is on sale and i have a coupon it is a no brainer, i'm gonna buy it! especially if it is used a lot in our house.
*i'm not a heavy stock piler but i do buy when they are free and cheap so i probably have about 3-4 or so extra shampoos, soaps, razors, etc.
*also at some stores (target, walgreens, kroger) you can use a manufacturer coupon plus the stores coupons. they can be stacked and that is a beautiful thing...this is soemthing i look at first before deciding what i need that week...it kinda helps me along with my list! some stores have crazy policies and it takes awhile to learn them but once you do you will be saving some major money!!
so these are my tips. they help my family out wonderfully and i love coming home and showing Walker my buys, how much i spent and how much i save! he kinda likes it too!

ROAD TRIP…LOUISVILLE HERE WE COME!

We decided after six months of being away, it was time to go visit all of our Louisville buddies and squeeze some time in with Mia and Pops! Davis slept almost all the way there on Friday and he could hardly wait to be at Mia and Pops house! He was so excited he ate barely anything at supper because he needed to play with all of his trucks! He kept saying “Davis miss all his trucks, Mia and Pops house!”

Saturday Erin, Dave and Charlotte came to play! Davis loved having a buddy to play trucks with him, even though Charlotte wasn’t really into his truck play! ha-ha! Here he is trying to show here how to build a tower, and do his famous Davis dance! I love the way she is looking at him in the last two pictures!

Next we ventured outside for a little wagon ride. It was a beautiful day and the kids really enjoyed being out and playing on all of Mia and Pops fun outdoor toys!

These are so cute of them together. They were sitting on the monkey bars to climb up on the swing set..turned out super cute and show some serious personality in both of them!

We headed in after playing outside and cooled off with one of Davis’ favorite treats…WATERMELON!

After Davis’  nap we headed to some of our besties house to visit and catch up. Several hours later more friends came over and it was a blast hanging out and letting the kiddos catch up. We miss our buddies so much!

This kiddo was my girl in all since of the word. We did so much together before Davis and I love her sweet spirit and the joy she brought to me even though she wasn’t my own. Emily and Adam graciously loaned her out on several occasions and I would take her in a heart beat! I love you KYLIE!
