What Would Davis Say (continued)
during comprehension he was getting a bit OVER the test but I persuaded him to keep going till we reached age 4, after that he said "no more test mommy!" i did not push him but enjoyed not only using my skill set but also seeing how intelligent and funny my little man is. i love watching kids learn and use their language, guess that's why i decided to be a speech pathologist!
a couple more funnies...
*instead of telling people bye these days he says "see you later alligator!" and totally expects them to say "after while crocodile!"
*he totally loves that he has several friends with the same name, particulary Wyatt. he loves saying two wyatts and two wyatt mommies! then when he gets a little silly he'll say six wyatt's and six wyatt mommies! can you say dramatic? not at all like his momma!!!
*while jumping on the trampoline (his new favorite thing) he asked me to pop him and he laid down. when he did the sun shined in his face so he responded with "momma turn the lights off!"
*because his daddy works for a company called rhino, he always asks what kind of animal his friends daddies work for!
*we recently got a new couch (new to us from the in laws) and davis took part in going with us to give the old one away (the mustard seed). when we drove up a man asked if he could have it and we drove to his house to drop it off. the entire time of the drop off davis kept saying "that's my couch!" we quickly explained we had gotten a new one and didn't need it any more. when we got home davis walked in to look at the new couch and he said "no like new couch, want old couch back!"
*we also tried to use the couch opportunity to teach him it was good to give stuff away...um didn't go so well! we told him at Christmas time we would go through some of his trucks and give them away...huge crocodile tears came crawling down his face after thinking about it and he wailed that he wanted to keep his trucks at his new home...maybe next year!!
Mommy and Me Mondays; Water Play, Watermelon and Popsicles…the BEST combo EVER!!!
Playgroup this week was all about having fun in the sun with WATER! We had such a great time and I know the kiddos are worn out! We spent the day at Ashley’s in-laws with a water slide, pool, watermelon and popsicles! What a combination, right? Love our group and can’t wait till next week!
Davis and Ms. Ashley going at it with water guns! I think he is in love with all the Girls!!
Can you say WATERMELON? All of these kids sure could! They loved it! It was so hot and the watermelon was fabulous for cooling them off. Thanks to Ms. Kelley for bringing this healthy treat!
after a little snack we did some sliding…umm it was WAY fun! All of the kids and some of the mommas loved it! check out everyone’s faces!!! someone’s camera died so I didn’t get my picture made, thank goodness!
next, it was time for POPSICLES! most of the kids had at least three of them! They were a hit to say the least and a big thanks to MS. ASh for supplying us with the yard and the popsicles!

play with me!
we had a sweet surprise this weekend…Emily and Parker came to play! some of our first friends in Murray were able to sneak away from Mississippi and come visit with us this weekend. we also got a miniature visit from Lacy, Jacee and Katee!
the boys could not wait to get on the trampoline and jump to their heart was content! of course mommy had to join the fun and sing ring around the rosie! being only one short month a part these boys were quite the pair!
parker has some sweet “guns”so he decided he could pull Davis back to the house! what a big helper! I sure could use him around more often!
the boys made it to the jeep next! both of them drove like they were pros!
we decided to headed to dawg days next. this is a small town who really supports their school so this was what we would consider a miniature fair! (very small!) the boys thought they were big time riding beside one another and holding hands to get to the excitement!
the boys loved the petting zoo and riding the ponies…can’t you tell! I asked parker if he had fun on the horse and he told me it went too slow! haha, this boy is a REAL cowboy!
next we spotted a fire engine and could not pass it up…davis and parker checked out all the hoses and cool things on the fire engine!
