We began Davis’ spring break with a school birthday celebration. He was excited to share treats with his friends and teachers and blow out his candles. (video below) I cannot believe my little man is growing up so quickly!
We left for Kentucky shortly after worship Sunday. Mack and Laura in tow we were ready for out trek to see the beloved Mia and Pops. Poor D was suffering from a cold and fever virus so he stayed heavily medicated for our journey.
See…sweet guy!
We were so glad to be with some of our favorite people and this shows how excited Emmy was to have Mack around!
She was especially fond of the grandfather clock…you think she likes the movie Frozen? She would lay down and make the clock sound with her mouth just like Ana.
We spend some time at the fantastic indoor playground at the church near my parents house. Davis enjoyed zip lining and Emerson adored going all the way to the top of the equipment and sliding down repeately! She is such a dare devil!
A day playing wore these two out! HA!
Davis celebrated his 6th birthday in KY, and I would say he was excited about it. Mia surprised him with a horse ride at the equestrian center!
But first things first we had to wear out the little ones so they would nap while we rode horses!
Such a perfect surprise and generous gift…my boy was in heaven!
such a strong six year old!
He started his session with picking out several brushes to groom his pony, izzy.
getting to know his pony
I mean look at that face….he was so pumped!
He learned how to get on the horse properly…
guide the pony…
model with it..ha, just kidding!
and he learned to steer it. She said he was a natural and he was pretty excited to hear that!
He was pretty upset about having to leave her…
videos from his date with izzy..
Back at home we made special horse cookies…
and a yellow cake with chocolate icing….spoiled, much?
Emmy let us know it was a hit!
He cannot be 6 already, can he?
We made it home safe and sound and this one started climbing the walls! Either she has had way too much gymnastics or she was ready to get back to KY!
After literally climbing the walls she decided to sit in the chair made for a flower pot…I‘ll just say I bet she never sits in it again, after how long it took me to get her out of it!
We had such a great KY visit and I am so glad Mia and Pops made even the little things so special for my sweet guy. I can’t wait to celebrate him again tomorrow at his horse party!
