Peter Pan and The Never land Party at the Dixie

Davis woke up this morning ready to get dressed and head to Huntingdon. Little did he know it would be several hours before it was time to actually leave, but when we finally did get there and the show was about to start he was SO ready!

Just looking at our programs, that’s what new five year olds and almost five year olds do!

It is intermission time, so we snack…choices, choices!

Hayes was a show stopper! All the big kids loved him!

OHH! Finally! We got to get the kids pictures with all the characters.  Davis loved the nanny dog!

He was quite fond of the Indians too!

Meeting the lost boys was tough to beat! They gave all the children swords (yay..insert sarcastic mom voice!) and gave them a good fight!

next up, the pirates! They all got on the ship with them and gave us their best argg!

Next, they had to walk the plank….

Davis even got to meet tick tock croc!

Davis’ favorite part of the show was watching Peter Pan fly, but he is still perplexed why peter pan was a girl in the show! HA!

After meeting the cast it was time for treats and drinks! Nothing like a croc cupcake and pixy dusted cookie! They even found a treasure map on their table!

The end got pretty crazy with sword fights…

SO…we headed to Mrs. Jennifer’s and Mr. Walter’s and got a couple more minutes of play time before….

What a fun day! We loved getting to see the show and meet the cast but the best part was seeing some of our favorite people and friends! We love you Butlers!

Jump Jump

Davis has had one BUSY spring break and today was no exception. We got invited to go to toddler jump at sky zone and who could pass up an opportunity like that? The kids were very excited to go jump and asked over and over if it was time to go this morning!

We finally got there and we had so much jumping fun!

The pit was a hit with Jon and Ashley! HA!

Smiling and having fun while we jumped our hearts out!

Sweet Emerson really got into it this time and at the end said night night on the trampoline…ha!

Go Emmy!

My girl is getting so big! Look at those long legs! Taking orders and getting it done! And yes she prefers to be naked with jewelry! HA!

Emerson is 23 months

Only one more month and my little sassy, spunky, dare devil girl will be TWO! Is it possible that I will have five year old and two year old?

Emerson we love watching you sleep and you are pretty good at it!

We love watching you love your brother. You are his little sissy and you will do just about whatever he asks you to do..if you want to! You mimic his every move and you love being loved by him! From day one you have loved him, but especially this month you have become quite attached to him. You especially love eating your dinner and then crawling up into his seat to check out the leftovers he did not eat.

You think you are as big as who ever you play with…literally you attempt things that most kids don’t do until they are three. Oh the joys of being a little sister to a big brother! The other day you were in Davis’ power wheels driving while he was in the trailer! 

This month your biggest change has been your language. Receptively and Expressively you have advanced so much in mere weeks. You can count to ten, say three to four word utterances, learn new words everyday, do 3-4 step commands (except pee on the potty…ha)! I can already tell you have a great memory just like your brother. You forget NOTHING and you like doing things your way! One of my favorite things you do right now is tell everyone their name. WE call it roll call. You will name everyone as you call them, then as their actual name. Mommy, daddy, bubba, Liz, Walker Dow, Davis, Emmy! You are also very into emotions. You know when someone is sad how to make them happy and visa versa! As far as eating, sleeping, clothing size you are still the same from last month. We love you baby girl and cannot wait to celebrate you turning two next month!

Davis is 5 years old

Davis Walker you are truly one of a kind. Your smile is something everyone adores and not many people meet you without commenting on it. Never lose the ability to captivate people with your smile! You are a charmer! You truly care for others, those you know and the ones you don’t. I believe God breaks your heart with what breaks his. You have a heart for HIM and for others at such a young age and I am so proud of you for that. This year has been so full of changes for you. You have started preschool and left me for the first time since you entered this world. I must admit I cried when I drove away from the church building, but I knew in my heart you were ready. You have done so well meeting new friends, charming your sweet teacher, and learning! I miss your smile, your talking and all your energy when you are away but you always come home smiling and excited to teach me what you learned that day. This age has been so fun. You reason at such an advanced age, have an imagination far greater than that of most children and you love to learn. You began asking why at two and have not stopped. You pick up on the littlest details and your mind never stops working! Your memory is perplexing and keeps me on my toes. I am so proud of you and pray over you and for you everyday! My prayer for you for this year of five is…

that you will continue to grow in confidence in your self so that you know you will achieve anything you put your mind to.  that your heart only grows bigger and more compassionate for those around you, especially the unloved. that you will put your faith in to practice and share god with all people. that you will continue to be the best big brother around and love your sister as only you can. that you will begin kindergarten and learn and grow more than we could ever imagine. that you know and trust your parents not only love you but want the best for you in life.

Happy birthday little man! YOU are an amazing gift from God and I will cherish you all the days of my life. I love watching you grow!

LEGO Movie

Davis got movie passes for his birthday from his sweet friend Harbor so we went on a Lego movie date today with Peyton. We ate at Chili’s first, then headed to the movies fully prepared with lots of Lego excitement!

They loved the show and it was awesome because we had the theater to ourselves!

We may or may not have sat in several seats and stood and danced at the appropriate times.

After the show was over this little missy cashed out! She is now a movie pro, even during nap time!
