WHEW! We made it back from Disney and I am ready to start posting pictures and videos from our amazing trip! We were there a week so I will break our Disney adventure up into separate posts for each day! I do NOT want to forget anything, so here it GOES!
All eight of us loaded up Friday and headed to the Memphis airport. The flight was short and sweet and we even got a few zzz’s on the way!
Davis made this at supper on Friday night and we were all pretty impressed!
We landed, ate supper and hung out in the hotel room…
BAND up…one of the best things Disney has come up with…you need NO money, no hotel key..nothing! Just a nifty band! This is Saturday, btw. We only checked in to the resort, swam, napped and got ready for our first character meal at chef mickeys.

Disney buses get you EVERYWHERE, but usually take about 30 minutes to an hour to get to your destination..so, you take selfies!!

CHEF MICKEYS!!! Emmy was most excited about dressing up like Minnie mouse and meeting her! She had us all in tears when she finally saw her for the first time. There is nothing like seeing your child’s hero from her eyes, it will melt you to pieces!
D was looking handsome, as always, and was pretty excited about getting some autographs.

DINNER AND Character time…I wasn’t sure if either of them were even going to eat. They were both so impressed with the characters and the environment that they could barely even breathe. All the characters were top notch, spending just enough time with the kids to make them feel special.
Pretty impressed with their first autograph..the night just kept getting more and more exciting!

Emmy convinced Mickey she was Minnie so they must be boyfriend and girlfriend. They played peek a boo, gave each other kisses and cracked up at one another!
This girl was wound up the rest of the night…from smiles to…
twirls…nothing could change her fantastic mood!
Our first night was a success and we never even stepped foot into the parks. I barely slept that night in anticipation for the our first full day at Disney's animal kingdom. Shelley and I had done our research and had planned our day to a tea so I knew it would be successful, but the thrill of seeing my kids faces was almost too much!
