Weekend with the Poston's & a surprise visit from Bubba

First a disclaimer: I am so over this blog. I am tired, no sick and tired of making the pictures stay where they are suppose too. Not sure what is going on, but just not in the mood to clean it up.
Okay now that I have disclosed that I can get on with my post. We have a had an AMAZING saturday. We spent the first hours looking at houses then we headed to Jackson to visit with the family. It is Laura's birthday today so we also had some celebrating to do. We started the family time with some bowling. The loser was suppose to act like a turkey all the way across the bowling, but somehow she was busy when the game was over...MIA! Then we headed to grab some lunch. Bubba and I snuck away to get some park essentials and snagged a great birthday balloon for Laura. After lunch we headed to a park in Jackson and had some major outdoor FUN! WE stopped at the apartment so D could get a nap and played some games. We ended the day with pizza and cake and we all had such a good day being together. Maybe one day we will all live a little closer together so this can happen more often!

YAY! Love me some bowling!

STory Hour

Davis and I have fallen in love with Milan's library. It is very kid friendly and they have a huge room just for kiddos with toys and lots of books. They even have a book about Davis' favorite color: BLUE! We go to story hour every Wednesday and this week Marley and Wyatt came too. Every week is themed and this week it was about snakes and the letter S. Davis' favorite letter is S so he was in heaven. The teacher, Ms. Patsy, always talks about the letter and she asks for the kids to say other words beginning with the letter S. To my dismay, Davis said snacks. I(again one of his favorite things!) We listened to several snake books, sang songs, did activities with the songs, played with play dough to make our own snake and then had a snack and free play. The boys were loving it!

What would Davis say (continued)

Davis cracks me up these days with his 23 month mind and wanted to share some of his newest sayings:
I walked into the childcare where I pick Davis up after leaving aerobics and he says "Mommy shirt on! Mommy shirt on!" I was wearing a tank without my sweatshirt, is this my hint my child likes his momma covered up (modest) or do I need to loose some weight? HAHA! The next time I go get him I will definitely put my sweatshirt on first!
Davis LOVES trucks/transportation and he is now into putting men into the trucks while he is playing. Today I was playing trucks with him and he said "momma man" and showed me one of his men. I asked him what the mans name was and he said "ay" I said what, say it again he again said "ay". I said baby momma doesn't understand he said "Pops, Mama." My dad, POPS, name is Ray! What a smart boy! Not sure we ever even taught him that!
In connection with the last remark we passed a truck on the road and Davis said "Momma truck, big!" I replied yes and I began asking him about the man driving the truck. Davis stated the man's name was "ay" (ray) and I continued asking him more questions like what his the man's wives name and he plainly state "ue" (sue). My mamma's name is sue, aka mia, muh!
Davis and I were on one of our daily walks/jogs and Davis spotted a "stinky" (garbage truck). I asked him if he wanted momma to catch the stinky truck to which he replied yes. We started heading towards the truck and Davis begins yelling "stinky diapers where are you!"
We are in a new town, a new house, with new people and new routines. EVERYTHING is NEW and Davis has done relatively well until the last week. He does not want his momma to be out of his sight. So now instead of just laying in his bed and going right to sleep (I know we are spoiled, but it took some training on his part!) he will scream out "no bed. yes mommy daddy bed. no no bed!" Poor guy wants his momma 24/7! How sweet, but at the same time VERY exhausting!
Love, love listening to what my sweet boy comes up with these days. Never a dull moment in this house!

DAVIS

My mom got Davis this adorable outfit and I just had a blast taking some Davis/family shots. Not sure if it is the move, the terrible twos, lack of friends and routine, or what but Davis has not been his usual self lately. We are hoping and preying it is just a phase and that we can remain strong and consistent parents. Pray for us! Despite being up since the crack of dawn he did surprisingly well in the pics, these are a few of my favorites.

ZUMBA

So recently one of my girlfriends has gotten me into ZUMBA. The craze has continued with me in Milan and I really enjoy it. Now I get my best workout doing something with high intensity, but Zumba brings something new to the workout realm and it's starting to grow on me. We joined the YMCA here and I have been going diligently trying to get back in shape and trying to get Davis use to being without mommy! Today he opted out for going to the kid class (I gave him an option!) and decided to go dance with mommy. the class is 100% ladies, so they all fell in the love with him. He would hold my finger and move to the music, watch the girls ZUMBA belts move, and play ball when that got to boring. At one point I couldn't see him (we were in a basketball gym) and I was looking around and saw him with another boy about 10 years old. I laughed out loud when I found them, because they were each sitting on top of their basketballs and the older boy was talking to Davis about the rules of basketball. SO Cute! Davis was listening and smiling as the little boy was explaining and it melted my heart. As soon as they saw me watching them they both got up and immediately started shooting their basketballs. Just a sweet little moment for this momma!

too big for his own...SHOES

We found another, you guessed it, TRUCK! We were finishing our workout at the gym and decided to play at the park, but instead we ended up watching these two trucks. not only did we get quite a show, but one of the men fell in love with D and ended giving him cookies and a drink before we left our truck entertainment. sLately Davis is very into our shoes. So...I've captured a couple of those instances on camera. What a mess I have on my hands. Whatcha think, momma's tennis shoes or daddy's work shoes?

Our nights are very family oriented hence we don't have many friends yet so tonight meet our silliness. My boys are great and I sure do love them.

hump Day...messed up kinda of day

Well our morning began rather early today. Davis has been sickly lately and he woke up about 4:30 this am. We immediately thought we heard him say he needed a new diaper so I ventured to his room to see what exact;y was going on. He did not need a diaper, rather a drink. He fell back asleep for another hour and then was ready to rock and roll. Yes, this makes it only 5am. We tried everything and this boy was ready for his day to begin. My sweet, amazing, wonderful, brilliant hubby decided he would get up with him and let me snooze. At his normal awake time they woke me up and we all began our day. So all day long I have had a WILD man on my hands. He has not acted ugly just had Lots of extra energy! Maybe he feels better, or maybe he was just extra excited about Dr. Sues Birthday! We headed to the gym and worked out for awhile until is was story time. When we got in the car Davis stated "messed up day" ,something he learned from his Mia, and I told him yes because you got up so early this day is messed up! HAHA! Next, we headed to the library for some green eggs and ham. YUMMY! Davis for sure wouldn't eat them so mommy got a bite! After the birthday celebration we headed home, or so I thought we were headed home. Davis spotted some scooper's (as he calls them) and insisted we get in his bike and watch them work. Thank you Mr. scooper workers for stopping for lunch so I only had to endure 30 minutes of your loud tractors! I captured some of Davis' fun watching the big machines. Not many face shots, because D would not take his eyes off of them.
