DO NOT take your children unless they are capable of being pushed to their absolute limit in regards to heat, sleep, and nutrition. WE pushed our kids to the limits most days and most days they handled it lie champs, sometimes better than the adults. However, I saw several families whose kids were breaking down and parents were losing it. It is impossible to have a good time when someone isn’t happy, please please think of your children as people…give them ample sleep, food/drink, time, fans for heat, etc.
Every child is made to feel like a princess or pirate. It is so unbelievable how at every corner people were catering to my kids and taking pride in making them smile. This was so awesome and neat to watch and be apart of. The flip side, they could come home pretty high and mighty. Davis handled it like a champ, Emmy is currently still in her Disney Detox. She has slowly come to the realization we are no longer at Disney and princess Emmy is now just Emmy. WHEW, that was a rough one!
Be prepared to watch your kiddos imagination grow and go wild when you return. Davis has always had a fantastic imagination, Emmy’s on the other hand was bland in comparison. Disney has taken that up a notch and she now has invisible friends to whom we have to take care of and her house is now a castle and it’s always someone’s birthday. So unbelievably cute and adorable!
TIME changes. Not sure if it’s the time change, the fast pace at which you always move while you are there but time feels almost like it is in slow motion when you return. You suddenly do not have to run to the potty or race after a sign to see what it says or hold a map to get from here to there..this is an AWESOME feeling!
Disney staff do whatever they can to make your stay as MAGICAL as possible and if and when they don’t they really stick out. We only had like three people on our visit that were not magical and to our entire group really could tell they didn’t belong. I am sure they will not last long, Disney doesn’t seem to let those people have too much time there when they don’t fit the status! This makes all those really hot long days so much more bearable when they are so over the top friendly and accommodating! Because trust me most Disney days are EXSHAUSTING!!
