Stomach bug, more like stomach MONSTER!

Our last few days at the Wellington household have been pretty nasty. They have consisted of laundry, cleaning up puke and holding and taking care of a sick little man. It all started Sunday night as we were putting Davis to bed. We thought it may just be a fluke and he just ran and got hot after eating, but we soon found out it was something much more…the stomach monster! He was sick about every 30 minutes from 8:30pm to 5:30 am on Monday. To say the least none of us slept much and we had three loads of dirty towels and such from all his sickness. We slept about four different places trying to get him comfy and ended up starting our day at 8am..unusual here..usually 7! He was great all day Monday and being his normal silly self until 10:30 pm Monday. Wow it hit again and he threw up about 3 more times until there was nothing left. He slept pretty soundly with me..who didn’t sleep so soundly..and has had a pleasant day today. I am crossing my fingers we are all able to sleep in our own beds and no one is sick tonight..only time will tell! He keeps telling me he feels better and won’t get sick anymore, but I ‘m pretty sure it’s just a ploy to get out of the house!

Like I said we have been at home lots the past two days and we have spent lots of time in the tub “getting rid of all the pukies” as D says. He LOVES his silly faces Mia! Thanks!

Little monkeys with some pretty sweet monkeys!

Davis woke up Saturday morning ready to go see his little buddy. While eating breakfast I told him I needed to go get a shower and he asked me if I would be long cause he needed to go see his Colebear! Ha! I convinced him I could not go stinky, despite his request, and he decided he would play trucks while I got ready!

We headed to meet the Butler's on Huntingdon and the entire way he kept asking if Cole had moved to Milan and when Cole could come to his house, etc. To say the least D was very excited about seeing his buddy! We got to the place a little early (even with driving under the speed limit and stopping to get gas!!) so we headed in for some fun monkey time before Cole arrived! He LOVED it!

Cole arrived and it was so cute..Cole ran up to Davis and said Hi Davis! They got reacquainted really fast and speed into action! It was really hard to get decent pics or videos for that matter so please excuse the wild ones. Maybe Erin got some better ones!

They LOVED this blowing thing that blew up balls to play baseball. Of course they didn’t use it for its intended purpose but nonetheless had great fun with it!

The barn yard bouncer was pretty fun! D loved riding the animals and Cole thought the bail of hay was a cave so we spent lots of time at the barn!

Holding hands and making a plan for which bouncer to go to next. D is a big hand holder and insisted they held hands! it took a little convincing on Cole’s part, but once they took off he didn’t care at all! Ready, set, sports bouncer!

See, I told you the blower was a HUGE hit! D thought it was especially neat he could blow up his hair! He even asked MS Megan to see his silly hair!

Tackle those inflatables. Seriously it was so hard to get pics so I am including these just because I think you are able to see how much fun they were having tackling the inflatables!

YAY! I did good…so I got to…

go to Chuckie Cheese! Mommy had to fill out some paperwork in Jackson today and she told me if I was good we could go to Chuckies. I had my own money (thanks Mia and Pops) and it was in my own tractor wallet and I made sure to be really good so I could go on a special outing! We found out Chuckie Cheese had grown and got all kinds of new games and stuff so it made my visit even better! Plus I got to dance with Chuckie and win extra tickets..even better! He threw the tickets up in the air and put the cup on his nose…he’s so silly! I didn’t let mom take many pictures, cause we had to much to do, but here is what she got…

Davis got his hair  cut…FINALLY! His hair dresser is going on maternity leave so we knew it was now or never! He loved it..don’t you think?

 

 

A couple of quick stories…

We were talking to D about going to school and telling him what all was involved with the school day when he looked at us and said “Hakuna Matata!” We both laughed and said you are right buddy when it is time you will be just fine, until then no worries! Nothing like a two year old keeping you on your toes!

I needed a quick shower today and so did D (we both got our hair cut) and we jumped in together. (something I said I was going to stop doing but…) things got funny fast…he peed on me four times because he could and because he said it was just a little bit mom AND he tried to hang his lufa on my boob..actually asked if it was a hanger..when I told him no he decided it was better to hang it on himself and I’ll give you one guess of where that one place was. he told me it was a blue peepee now! Remind me never again no matter what! HA!
