Adjusting

So in our three nights here we have been doing lots of adjusting:
I have missed hearing the airplanes fly bye (thank you UPS) and now enjoying hearing a train at all times during the day/night!

The sky seems much darker here without all the street and city lights. It is amazing how many stars there are at night.

We can actually hear the birds chirping in the am instead of buses/cars going bye.

I find it much easier to pick up in a 900 sq ft home, compared to our 23oo sq ft home in L-ville.

The choices of what to wear are much slimmer here due to closet size so no more taking too long to get dressed.

People love this little town, so most people are really positive about what it has to offer, different from the city where people constantly complain about what is missing.

You can get anywhere in 10 minutes tops!

Shopping at Walmart has not gotten any better, In L-ville we were Target/Kroger shoppers. No such thing here!

Everybody knows everybody and don't talk about anyone because if they are not related, they are bffs.

I miss my garage, and no carports are NOT garages! It is a MUST have at our new house!

They might not have the biggest movie theater, but it sure is cute and cheap. IT is only 4 dollars and popcorn is 50 cents. They only play pg and pg13 movies too!

Davis has done some adjusting too:

He is learning that the central time zone allows you to go to bed later at night, but you must sleep later in the am.

He is learning he has a new home and is beginning to recognize it as we drive up to it. He is learning we can always see him. He can't get away with too much cause we can see him when he tries to act mischievous.

He went to class Sunday morning without any of his friends and waited to the very end to look up at me and say, Class, Cole?

I pray and trust we will continue to figure life out here in our new town of Milan Tn. Continue to pray we will transition well and find a church home where we will be able to work for the Lord. I have given the sell of our house over to god and know that it will sell soon so we are able to find our new home and become even more settled than we already are. I know many more adjustments will be made as our stay here lengthens so I will add to this post as those adjustments occur.
